Summary

Any exterior alteration, addition, or improvement to a home or lot that is visible from outside requires a completed A&A application submitted to and approved by the Board BEFORE any work begins. This includes but is not limited to: exterior paint color changes, front doors, garage doors, awnings, patios, decks, fences, pools, and landscaping grading changes. Working without prior approval results in an immediate fine. Approval may take up to 30 days from receipt of application.

A&A Application Requirements

The application form (Section 12) must include:

  • Homeowner name, address, phone, email
  • Description of improvement(s), dimensions, materials, color, estimated cost
  • Plat of survey showing existing structures and location of proposed improvement
  • Any landscaping/grading changes (also require prior written City approval)
  • Picture, plan, or drawing of the improvement
